Rieger Art Conservation specializes in works of art on paper for clients throughout the New York City area as well as across the United States. Innovative conservation techniques are combined with an aesthetically conservative approach in order to stabilize and preserve the client’s artwork.

Our philosophy of treatment is to use the minimum amount of intervention and thus maintain the original integrity of the artwork, an approach which is fundamental in caring for a wide range of works of art on paper, from 16th to 20th century European, American and Asian art.

Caroline Rieger has been working in conservation since 1989 and holds a masters degree in Art History and a certificate in Conservation from the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. She is a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation.
